Pre & Post Wax Care

Waxing can be a pain. But results, however, often look much better than those obtained by shaving. If you're looking for ways to help make your next Waxing Service less painful, look no further. Read on and wow yourself with the results!

Waxing tips will help you prepare your skin, take the pain factor down and minimize bumps and irritation afterwards. A lot of women opt for this service because they like the feeling of the entire waxed area being totally, or almost hair-free. While you need to be cautious any time you remove hair, because of its specialty nature, it should be treated with extra care. *However these tips are meant for most body waxing services, and as a general standard, not all waxing tips may apply to every person. Remember you are unique, with each tip take in consideration your own skin needs and sensitivities.

Pre-Waxing Prep:

Particularly for women. Your skin is often more sensitive the time near your your period, and waxing can be more painful than normal. So your appointment shouldn't be any closer than a couple of days before or after your period. Most places understandably won't perform a Brazilian wax services while you're on your period.
Cleanliness. Shower and lightly exfoliate the entire area to be waxed, before your appointment using warm, not hot water.
No lotions or deodorants on the area the day of your appointment.

Hair must be at least ΒΌ inch long to be waxed successfully.

Please do not apply AHAs or any other aggressive exfoliant skin care products the day before, of, or after waxing. If you are using Accutane, Retin-A or other prescription medications for your skin, you may be tweezed, but not waxed.

Post-Waxing Care:

Watch What You Wear. No tight cloths after Bikini or Brazilian wax. Tight clothing over waxed areas can rub the skin causing a lot of irritation and can be the major reason for ingrown hairs.
Hands Off. Keep hands away from touching just waxed area, as this can encourage irritation or small pimples.
It's best to not take a hot bath, shower or use any soapy products on the just waxed area for the rest 24 hours.

Too Hot Is Too Hot! No tanning beds, saunas, spas, or sun for the next 24 hours after waxing.
Exfoliating Mildly 48 Hours After Waxing. For some, this helps to prevent the start of ingrown hairs. If you dont have ingrown hair problems you can skip this step.

No Bumps. If you get any ingrown hairs try "Tend Skin", (ask your Esthetician about it).

If you have any other questions please ask them at the time of your appointment, I am here to help you make the most of your waxing service.

I look forward to seeing you soon!
